Day 43 Finished.
Just a quick update for my journal.
No book writing tonight, just checking out and sitting on the thought that iam only one drink away from disaster.
This Saturday iam going to a party at a local restaurant/bar. I won't lie i wouldn't mind having a few drinks because its a fun atmosphere, just to remember the old unwinding times. but for that reason alone i know i won't drink. for me to unwind is to down everything there as
fast as i can, then ending up somewhere on my own obliterated - Just being at home on my own is risky for me, so a social atmosphere does not make me nervous about drinking.
Firstly i will be driving. Secondly, i want to meet and talk to some woman who are also not drinking.
And thats the main reason iam going, i need to meet some woman or at least get some hope for future dates, even if its for casual lunch As ive been at my desk all 43 evenings and that's starting to get a bit tedious.
Usually iam out, drinking and meeting. So meeting sober without the social lubricant is going to be a bit harder.
