The facts on the ground don't change, life is still tough, beautiful, boring, too short, and my little demons of self-sabotage flit on and off my shoulders, but being sober means everything to me these days.
I don't have time to deal with the pain anymore. I'm done with wasting it away.
Pangs come and go, melancholy at times, strong too. But screw that. I don't drink.
