It's amazing how much better we can cope with adversity when we don't use alcohol to escape it, isn't it! Sorry about he job opportunity, but there will be more. If you were selected this time that means you will be selected again - I can pretty much guarantee that. And it may not seem like much at the moment, but you do have a guaranteed job for next year. That may seem like a negative now, but there are a lot of people who would be very happy to have that security.
