Missy...I think that YOU thinking about stuff is good. The more understanding we have of stuff...the better our decisions )proactive) will be.
As wise man on previous page says- if it works....
I agree with you about it being about people. If there is anything akin to a HP...then it is, for me- drawing strength from people.
Just as some HAVE to define their addiction in words they can make it easier to cope with...it is not the alcohol- but the 'ism' in me (some say), an allergy, a disease, I was sick, a syndrome, I am intolerant....
who the hell cares what it is called?
ALSO- yes, I agree with you..there are cultish stuff people do at meetings. I guess there is just so much negative stuff associated with cults.
I admire your prison stuff, B. Too often do I see people with 'convenient' morality...such as the nice Christians who have nice lives- but if challenged with people they know who are homeless, or ill- or even worse (god forbid) an 'alcoholic' ....turn a blind eye as it rocks their nice lives.
Convenient christianity.
You are not one of them. You show great strength and conviction at the mo, especially given the personal tragedy you deal with...kudos to you.
