Wow! So proud of you Juliet. Inviting Him into your life just simplified your new journey of sobriety by giant leap. As Kris said, God’s definition is Love!! Period, end of story etc coz will only confuse yourself asking why is the world this way or whoever is dead & gone.....all that’s needed is Juliet to look in the mirror & be grateful to her Heavenly Father that despite all she’s been thru, she’s still alive & kicking. To me @ least, besides having a personal relationship with Him, investing time is crucial! I know my day kinda goes off track if don’t spend quality time in meditation, prayer & readings in the morning
Lastly, don’t “set a stop watch” if things don’t change in however long, then He doesn’t care. It maybe a test to see whether we’re in it for long haul or not
