I haven't heard of a meeting specifically called this either- but it sounds like a neat idea. Maybe it's a group of people willing to be sponsors, who are current sponsors, people looking for sponsors....?
I'd ask someone on the side and definitely consider going (I'd be in the category of people willing to sponsor) - perhaps it is a way to get to know other people in a different meeting setting? Let us know what you find out!
