the more you go the less daunting it becomes and before you know it you will feel just like another piece of the furniture. I haven't heard of it either but think it's a great idea for people looking for either. for me and probably many others it's kinda awkward to just go up to someone and ask. tried it once and it don't go so well so know I am a little gun shy. probably would be easier at a specific meeting for that purpose.
