Unit will not be ready for another week over whenever they planned- had not told me definite date. Was hoping early next week..nope.
Feeling better about me..getting my own place, nearly 2 years sober, and doing more than I have for a long time...if I met me- I might even think I was not such a bad guy.
Sad stories at meeting- one friend who just cannot get better from a lot of mental health stuff..it runs much deeper than booze. My role is listen, send a text daily to say hi, have coffee and walk. A guy waiting to hear if he has prostate cancer...but good stories too. I include myself in this. I begin to understand why people say self forgiveness is so important. A young guy- who has serious bipolar mental health stuff- smiling, engaging and getting better.
Not bad today- 31C. Friday- back in the 40's for Australia day (BBQ, drink beer)- I will plan to have a lot of reallllly cold fruit (mango's are my fav at present) and fizzy stuff- like ginger sody pop, REAL COKE!!!!! and stuff.
