That is the part that would worry me. I don't think I would mind if someone recorded me at a meeting, especially if it was for some sort of research project, but I would expect anonymity to be honored (i.e. no names used in the paper) and I would
want to know about it ahead of time!!!! Seems like if the guy was in school to be an alcohol and drug abuse counselor he would know that, but there's no telling. Sometimes people just don't think.
