Beginning with family stepping in to place me
into the hands of those capable of teaching me
about my alcohol addiction and a program of
recovery to incorporate in all my affairs, my
journey living addiction free began on August
11, 1990.

Those first 28 days in rehab allowed the seed
of hope that if others before me could and would
remain sober and incorporating the tools
and knowledge of an effective program continuously,
then so could and would I.

With continuous sobriety for the past 27 yrs, I
remain teachable to grow and mature into the
best person I can possibly be today. I'm not
perfect nor wish to be, but I do strive to live
with purpose and meaning in my daily life.

Admitting I am an alcoholic then accepting
that alcohol will never ever work for me and
believing that I can live a sober life clearing
away the wreckage of the past and learning
each day to build a strong solid foundation
with tools and knowledge of my addiction and
incorporating an effective program of recovery
in my everyday life, then I could and would
remain sober each day moving forward, then
so can you.

We never have to go thru anything in life
alone or by ourselves because the fellowship
of recovery will always be there to help you
with every step you take to achieve health,
happiness and many more wonderful gifts
to cherish and never take for granted along
the way.
