I was making porridge this morning as the light of dawn came into the kitchen and flooded the flatlands, and I crushed some cardamom pods in the pestle and mortar and the scent was so uplifting I thought I really do have a life beyond my wildest dreams. Funny how it is where you don't think to look.
Little birdys stuffing themselves on seed, fat balls, peanuts and robin maggots(?)(sounds bad) and the air was full of clouds of feathery movement. A good day today. I didn't think I'd make it.
It wasn't long ago I got lost on the motorway and pulled into a gas station and lost it when I saw the booze on sale. I wouldn't have made it without SR that day. I guess the noise and the smell and the panic in early recovery.
I am so grateful for you guys and gals. I love it here.
