Talking 34 days!

Hi all

I haven't been round here for a long time - I got caught in a relapse cycle which was most unpleasant.

I got out of treatment last Tuesday, started a low-stress job on Wednesday and today I am 34 days sober and just picked up my 30 day chip.

I really did get caught in a cycle of relapsing and the transformation has been huge already. I definitely don't take my sobriety for granted and I'm doing 90 in 90, working closely with my sponsor, eating regularly, napping (I love to sleep now) and getting involved in new hobbies. Turns out I'm pretty good at making little polymer clay figures - who bloody knew?!

Anyway, as a bit of motivation here for anyone having a bad day, I wanted to make a brief list of the differences I've noticed in 34 days.

- Personal hygiene. I have clean clothes & shower daily. Who even am I?!
- I no longer feel like I'm dying from dehydration at 3am.
- I no longer have stomach cramps...at all.
- My toilet visits are better in that I don't have diarrhea all the time.
- I have confidence in protecting my sobriety & doing what needs to be done.
- My skin is clear.
- I'm not sweating half as much as I used to.
- No more liver pain.
- No more dizziness.
- I remember everything.
- I'm in control of my finances, however terrible they may be.
- I'm more reliable.
- I'm on meds for depression & anxiety, have been for years, but it feels so much more stable already. Definitely less panic attacks for the past couple of weeks.

Anywho, hope everyone has a good day and it's good to be back :-)
