Hi, Only in my opinion but if your GP prescribed a short course of 10 x 2mg diazepam to give you a bit relief its not breaking sobriety rules . However diazepam long term is as bad . Ive been there and abused diazepam and its not easy to come off them . I blame the GPs in UK for over prescribing .

Following my last drink ( this time) I have also said in a post somewhere my anxiety is "through the roof) well I,m 6 weeks sober and much better ,some days better / worse than others .
I was referred to an online course of CBT ( beating the blues) of which I am about to do session 4 .
If you can try to understand that our central nervous system takes a hammering when drinking and takes time to heal .
Good reading in Clair Weekes . And this NOTHING WORKS - NOTHING WORKS
