I have a friend who lives in Brevard County (which is being evacuated) but she lives inland. She assured her friends that she is fine and that the mandatory evacuations that have been taking place are only for those who live on the coastlines. Don't know if that helps answer your question somewhat.

The news footage is so bad... just really hope there are no more fatalities. Think it's hard for me in wet and dull UK to understand the severity of what is happening..no matter how much news I watch. Xxxx
