Never been on zoloft, but when I was in my early teens I was put on anafranil (clomipramine) for ocd and depression. It worked quite well, and is often considered one of the best meds for ocd. It's an older tricyclic which is both good and bad. Probably more predictable in how people react, and the side effects are more predictable.. mostly sweating, dry mouth, occasional heartburn. Tricyclics are also typically a bit easier to come off of.
