You can help it!
During the quiet time on weekends you will feel restless. Bored. Irritable. Resisting the call of the corner store or the bar will feel uncomfortable.
So know this.
The plan should have concrete tasks when these feelings arise.
I came here and vented/complained/whined/felt sorry for myself but I got thru the hours without drinking.
My plan also included watching psychological thrillers on netflix which had a plot I had to pay attention to/follow, and this also helped.
I also ate more sugar and frozen grapes.
Maybe these things can help you too! Or maybe face to face support groups.
You CAN do it.
After some sober time passes, your brain changes and it won't feel uncomfortable/unnatural to not drink. I promise.
