I get where you're coming from. I think what helped me was being realistic about the fact that this isn't easy to do. Then, removing any excuses as being valid when trying to talk myself into it.
You can help it, you really can. It's just at times you have to be willing to do whatever it is that's necessary to get through the uncomfortable times. The more you do it the easier it gets.
