Living on the ocean here, literally. A friend is letting me stay on his sailboat while I save up for my move to New York. Zero and I will be going there in a few months to finish my Paralegal degree.
The plan is to follow up working with homeless domestic violence survivors. When I was a victim of DV there were very few services if you did not have children, that is how I ended up homeless. My former landlady' daughter (also DV) went near broke having to pay for basic legal support or rely on her mother who is mentally unstable. Being blessed with a small monthly income and medical insurance I can afford to do all legal aid work. I might even have time to help out the ACLU.
So that is where I am now that I have 5 years sober.
