I'm on new meds too, Kev. Different effects but annoying, so I sympathise
Sometimes side effects from meds will subside after a few days - it's not comfortable, but usually it's a long way from unbearable (if it's not bearable you should see a Dr ASAP I think)
Any thought a drink might fix this is 100% pure A grade BS.
I got to the point where anything slightly uncomfortable was a clarion call for beer...
We don't need to fix every tiny level of discomfort any more - we can tolerate a lot more than we used to give ourselves credit for
