I'm in the UK too, the £10 cash tip is a good idea, although the contactless is very handy for doing a bigger shop. I'll definitely give that a go!
I've already got some ice cream this weekend. But I've had it with fruit so it ain't all bad. When i look at what i was drinking- sometimes it was a bottle of Captain Morgans on a sat and Sunday or 3-4 bottles of wine per day, a bit of ice cream should be fine!:-)
