Glad to hear you got some help, when we didn't hear from you, had some dark thoughts for a while.

Anyway sounds like you're on the right track.

It's a hard road adjusting to sobriety, you say you'll miss drinking, I think thats true of all of us, but somewhere the fun of drinking has to get trumped by the fact that it's killing us.

As for missing the fun of drinking with people, you do learn that you can still have fun with people without the booze, it just takes time.

Just remember here, and all the other support groups you may join, we're all alcoholics, not someone who just spouts the perceived doctrine they've read in a book at college. We've been through the experience, we understand the struggles, we know it's not easy. But, at least for me, being able to express and read about those struggles, here with people that 'truly' understand is very helpful in the never ending fight to stay sober.
