Not to get technical or anything, and you seem like a very nice person, and I've been through the children-detaching thing three times (!) so I know what you're talking about..........but..........
Like I say, no offense, but the one thing you haven't tried is long-term freedom from alcohol and long-term freedom from the drugs your doctors want you off.
