. It's true this disease and the AV is so cunning, baffling & powerful. Be kind to yourself - so proud of you for pouring out what you had. Making that decision is actually huge. Each step adds up. I drank after having 7 years of sobriety. The shame and denial kept me out for years. I'm 49 now and today am on Day 1 of no alcohol AGAIN - I didn't stop for a bottle of wine on the way home - freaking miracle! I'm with you! Don't give up!!!
