I was older too when I began to panic about my drinking habits. I was in very bad shape - drinking every day. The best thing about SR for me was no longer being alone. I had thought I was so unique - & that no one had my thoughts or feelings. Knowing I could discuss things openly with those who understood made all the difference to my recovery.
