I've had anxiety for a long time (and depression even longer), but I never had anxiety as bad as I felt over the weekend except when I was sobering up after periods of heavy drinking. That sort of near-panic attack with strong physical symptoms definitely took me off guard and it is not normal for me.
I haven't been taking great care of myself the past month and a half, but I never felt anything like this either. Now that the caffeine withdrawal wore off and I can now tolerate the caffeine from tea without issue, I am feeling back to baseline, but it was a good few days of feeling pretty off.
Thank you all for your thoughts. I really just needed to hear that my understanding of what was going on was reasonable.
