We had the best day ever and I honestly don't think that anyone missed the alcohol. We swam off the side of the boat, we had a BBQ onboard and listened to some music/ had a dance!!! It was a red hot day so just perfect on the water.. I have taken so many photos, and made many more family memories....
The sacrifice that my Parents made yesterday was HUGE. They drink a lot of alcohol themselves on a normal day (daily drinkers) so to say that they would rather have a sober day to support me (and my boys) was enormous. I would never expect anyone else to go without alcohol just because I have an issue with the drink but they INSISTED..
They even stocked the bar on their boat with all varieties of flavoured mineral waters, juices, and soft drinks, and I noticed that they had obviously had all "alcoholic" glassware removed too....
ahhhh I feel soooooo lucky and blessed, and actually very emotional over the whole day!! (in a good way of course) xxxx
