Someone told me something I appreciated today. She said that she knew that I'd gotten where/become what I am at some personal sacrifrice. For some reason it was good to hear that someone, someone who doesn't even know me well, understood that the "me" that's out there is not the me that I set out to be. I'm not bad, I'm ok, & I take responsibility for my choices -- still, this life wasn't what I might have chosen if I'd always had a choice.
