Good Evening,
I'm a 44 year old woman with a grown up daughter and a boyfriend I live with.
I signed up for alcohol recovery. Nobody other than my family would guess I have a drinking problem. However, I only drink about once a week but when I do, I drink way too much and cannot stop.
I deal with the guilt and shame of that on a weekly basis.
I am going to go to a Beginners AA group. I went to a meeting today and did not know there were different types. It will be further to drive but I think a beginners specific group might be my best bet.
I've tried to do this before alone and it doesn't work out too well. As I only do this once a week it's easy to tell lies to myself that there isn't really a problem.
