Drake, hang in! You know it will get better. Try to focus on all of the positive things that come with sobriety.
SG, I'm having similar problems. I haven't gotten as far as you have in accepting and moving on. I'm so appalled about the bigot that was elected and cannot get my head around the amount of damage he can do without the normal checks in place.
Thankfully I made it through the election without drinking - and, major miracle, without once thinking of doing so to blot it all out. I'm sitting here with all of my feelings and not wanting my reaction to be otherwise. Major progress.
