Feeling emotionally and intellectually spent after this election cycle. Been spending hours reading political recaps. I know it is time to let it go and get on with life in a country now under one party rule. The feeling of a total lack of control about my country's national political situation and destiny is eerily similar to the feelings of lack of control with drinking I always had. There was never a personal system of checks and balances for me. It's feels like a similar mindset. At least I now have control over my drinking.
The sun is shining and I have my life to live. Time to get out of my malaise and make the most of it!
