Hi
I can only give you my personal experience. I have seen treatment facilities, most recently a dual diagnosis facility, deny the use of adderal and benzos (xanax for example) for daily use. They administered benzos for detox but would taper people off them as their vitals improved. I have never seen a facility deny a non mind altering drug like an SSRI (Zoloft for example). I take seroquil for sleep....they wouldn't use my prescription while in the facility, but gave me my dosage out of their pharmacy. Anywho, maybe your prescribing dr can talk to their intake people about it. Tons of people take SSRI's so my guess is there is a solution there. But the xanax? Probably not. You might find that you won't need it over time once your body adjusts to no alcohol....really its not real different than taking a drink...just in pill form. But definitely talk with your dr.
