Since I've been back in North America I've found myself surrounded by a lot of people younger than me who naturally are in a drinking partying stage of their life. I don't mind at all, that is their life.
I was talking to a gal friend of mine today. She was talking about drinking before school. I laughed and said man, I have places to be, things to do. Life is way too short for that kind of thing. I explained all I wanted to get done in the next five years (learning languages, making money, getting new credentials, travelling, ect). She chuckled and said, well after those five years will you be too old and have peaked?
It just made me smile. What a silly thing to say. As long as I'm alive I won't be done growing.
Living life running from something is so different than running towards something.
