Thanks guys. It's a delicate balance of keeping those in my life who support my recovery and those that do not. I spent 8 months dry drunk on probation going to bars and DDing for friends; that was complacency for me.

The difference now is it truly feels like a choice. I choose not to use everyday. The most effective strategy for me is playing the tape through. Thanks to my numerous relapses over the last 2.5 years, I know how it ends. I needed to galvanize my recovery through adversity. I don't recommend the rock bottom approach, but after two days of serious withdrawals and then 8 days in medical detox following that, I know what happens.

Anyways, it ended up being a great day. Went to a powerful meeting, did all my laundry, and had a nice family dinner. I'm sort of hoping I failed my testing Friday, but I can handle whatever happens. Have a swell night, ya'll!
