I prefer to say I have decided and chosen not to drink, rather than I can't. It puts the power back on my side. The idea of sitting down, folding my arms and saying I wanna drink but I can't is not a real good predictor of success.
You're doing just fine, LadyBug. Remember that this is a choice you have made, one that simply makes sense given the circumstances and history. Nothing wrong with your thinking at all. Stay the course, and know that you are doing a brave and difficult thing, and it is something you can be proud of.
