Progressive, Chronic and Fatal

Received word today that a lady a group of us were trying to get sober died while detoxing of heart failure. She was only 46 years old, a college graduate, came from a nice family and blended right in with all the other women our age. Before I finally got sober, I use to say to myself "geez, it's just wine, Soberween, calm down. You're making this more than it is." That was definitely my AV speaking to me. We have to be diligent in remembering that that bottle of wine (or whatever your drink of choice is) would love nothing more than to see us dead.

If you've decided to finally change your life for the better and live a life alcohol free, then please contact a doctor before doing so. It really is a matter of life and death. I was just talking to this lady two weeks ago and I would never have dreamed she would died so soon from this disease.
