New Here. Hello
Hi. I have been reading this site and have learned a lot over the last week. Finally time to register and come out of the shadows.
I am thoroughly beaten down by the daily drinking and emotional wreckage alcohol has sown over the last 25 years. I have had a couple of 2 year periods of sobriety during that time; however, another bottom is here and time for a better plan.
I read a quote attributed to Winston Churchill once.... "I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me." Not true for me...alcohol has taken almost everything out of and FROM me, including my sense of self and identity as a person.
More to follow, but I wanted to introduce myself with this post. There is a lot of quality sobriety and support here from what I have read. I am glad to be here.
