Please get some help. I did the whole ambulance thing, hoping someone would notice I was drunk and do something to me/about it. But like with you, they just treated me for the issue I came in for and then sent me on my way. I had to completely stop the wishy washy "cries for help" and legitimately and clearly asked for what I needed. Which I did, finally, with much terror, and ended up in rehab.
It has been great experience for me.
Do you think you could find some time to google rehab centres that specialise in various areas of care? You might find somewhere good that could help you with your physical rehabilitation while also addressing your alcohol problem. I know the centre I am at now deals with a variety of complex issues, including various people with multiple issues, including several with physical/medical (not psychiatric) issues.
Thinking of you.
Hey I hope your doing okay and please don't worry about not coming on my post self care is the most important and I'm glad you took some time for yourself. Unfortunately with kids and uni rehab isn't an option. But I'm hoping to go cold Turkey from Saturday onwards. I want to get healthy
