I'm grateful for selfishness and self-seeking hedonistic behaviors. The folks I was partying with are so self-absorbed with their partying that they have not bothered trying to hang out with me once they heard I went sober. And I still have strong emotional bonds with a few of them, so I'm glad that some negative emotions have done something positive for me.
