Little or no appropriate housing available The public housing system here has become more or less an extension of the mental health and penal systems. Mental health always goes to the bottom of the pile. My brother is 'lucky' in that he has family support most are just discharged to the street with a bag of meds and the name of a boarding house where (they) would be exploited and eaten alive.
