In the past I've taken all sorts of drugs not prescribed to me for withdrawal to alleviate the effects of not taking one of my other drugs of choice. That's called using and substitution. We addicts tend to do that.
If all you had from a one night relapse was the symptoms you describe, you got off lucky. We bury people from time to time who decide to use for "just one night".
