I have to admit I didn't exactly grasp what 'struggling' meant, but I'm going to assume it means intermittent drinking.
I just wanted to add to what conquest said...you know that saying when all I had was a hammer all my problems looked like nails? My hammer was bottles of booze.
I had to find other ways to deal with ...everything really. It took some time and some effort but I got there. I have faith you will too
