I would suggest a thorough read of Codependent No More and/or Beyond Codependency by Melodie Beattie. I have learned to focus on me, my behaviors. I can't fix or treat others. I had a history of fatal attractions and lacked healthy boundaries and relationships. Codependent work has been a lifesaver for me.
