A song came to me the second day in recovery, I can't sing at all, a song I haven't listened to since ???? that I wanted to sing to everyone that I had hurt that was close to me and to this day this song goes over in my head. I had the opportunity to see him in Calgary before he was famous at a bar and bought him a drink.
It's Bryan Adams "Please forgive me" the line "Please forgive me for I know not what I do" nails it for me right between the eyes as it's what I experience when I drink, I will never forget this song nor will I ever have to sing it to those I love again in my head but I stay mindful of those words as they rocked my small world and had tremendous impact.
