Ultradad you and me sound like peas in a pod - same goes with the binging to oblivion and the change that the wife doesn't like - I'm a much better person sober and clean and altho my wife like yours enjoys the company of me for a few hates what I turn into - no room for moderation / responsible drinking for us fella - no matter how much we want to its never ever gonna happen long term, I've accepted that and sounds like you have too.
