very occasionally get the interference you describe. I chalk it up to marginal [weak] Signal 'Cross Talk' on whatever Cellular Tower you're on. There's 'x' number of Cellular Channels on a Tower, depending on Cellular Traffic. Towers are continuously switching stationary Users between these Channels, and as other Users drive by. When Interference as you describe hits, I hang up and call again in order to get kicked over to another Cell Tower Channel. Items like Microwave Ovens can cause Cell Signal perturbations.
I have 3 Trailers. They're big, electrically-grounded Cans. Tough on Cell Signal integrity. Calling when by a Window often helps.
