After lurking for the past month, it's about time I peeped over the parapet!!! I'd rather not post in the Newcomers thread but would be happy here if that's OK?
In my 50's, I've been binge drinking at weekends for the past 30 odd years. I decided 41 days ago that enough was enough and have been sober since then.
Thank god for this site and the regulars on board. I've had some awful symptoms but think I'm over most if the physical stuff now and it's just a question of establishing who " I" actually am without the mask of booze!
I read the site avidly, so I'm delighted to join this challenge.
