3 years away and I'm back!!!
I remember it like yesterday, Winter of 2012 being on this forum, happy about 41 days no alcohol, then through all the pressure from family members and so-called friends, just logged off here one day, ashamed of my mishap with a drink. Needless to say I faced many losses out of denial and pride. I'm back though! I'll make day 1 the first day of the rest of my sober life! I won't let pitfalls get me off the wagon. I've got no choice. High blood pressure is at my door, and I just lost a job in August because they heard slurred speech in one of my cust. service phone calls. I have a new job I start next week and I'm afraid. Afraid I'll once again bring that flask in my purse. Afraid I'll drive to the nearest Spirit store on my lunch break. I've got to replace that fear with hope. I've got to hold on to the support this time.
