Another Day of Sanity
It's probably going to sound so stale, but here I go anyway - grateful for another day sober where I didn't have to sneak around to get my bottles and to hide my full bottles and to dispose of my empty bottles without anyone seeing them, where I could hug my wife without fear of her smelling liquor on me, where I could drive by a cop without fear of him following me and pulling me over for drunk driving, where I could get through a whole day of work, where I could actually think clearly and walk without falling down, where I didn't feel like somebody was going to find me out at any moment. Why did I do all of that? Thank God I didn't have to live like that today.
