I think a lot of us want to think that a little time off from booze with reset us and we'll be normal drinkers.
leaving aside the fact that a lot of us were never normal drinkers in the first place....please don't confuse abstinence with control.
Life is good because we have stopped drinking and removed alcohol from out lives, not because we suddenly learn control.
I have 8 years and I know that if I drink again I'll have no more control than I had on my last drink in '07.
