Today, we are covering vulnerable and beautiful Candy Cane Ginger (Curcuma rhabdota). This plant can be found in Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia, growing near streams in deciduous and semi-deciduous forests. There are several threats to this species including: habitat degradation and over-collection from wild populations. Additionally, it was reported to have numerous medicinal uses. Over the past 10 years, there has been an 80% decline in its population.
